About theboysmum

Back in the day when it was me who could pat Colonel Sanders on the top of the head we joined HRC to help him learn about recording and setting up a home studio. We made a lot of friends. When the Colonel was ready to go it alone, I moved on.

Now at 2m, 19 years, 3 years at SAE, a few recordings and a few experiences in other peoples studios under his belt, and building a little studio, the Colonel is no longer a regular at HRC. And so I'm back.

Regarding my recording experience, I've seen the Colonel at work. Its not my kind of thing - all that mucking around. Not that I don't appreciate art - but a little common sense enhances any situation. So I'm meaning to be more minimalist in approach, natural in the recording and less taxing on the pocket.

I'm crap on instruments but I can sing. If it exists, I'll be trying for an all purpose mic which does a good job capturing my vox and does everything else OK.

I write some poetry. Some of it might be able to be transformed into lyrics. We'll see how I get on!

My Studio

I'll be borrowing guitars, kit, mics etc from Colonel Sanders and stealing them when he's not looking. Hehehe.
