Using ACID software when I'm not PC recording

I use a Korg D16 for most of my demo work. Is there a way to use ACID and Soundforge stuff without purchasing a whole new PC studio ? Maybe just opent the .wav files on my family PC and convert to Audio, then dub it over ?

Any thoughts, Thanks

I want to see what all the acid hype is about and try some of the drum grooves. I'm recording on a non PC multitracker, thus the delima. .Specifically how it is placed into the recording, point and click windows, cut and paste audio..What I probably need to do is read more on how ACID software works and go from there.

Thanks for any insight.

Yup all of the above. I don't use ACID but fruity loops will export to a [.wav] file and that can be placed on a track in multitracking software and lined up with the other tracks. And yes, you are right. With a non PC recorder about the only way to get sound into it is to record an analog signal. So.... you will have to play the drum track through your sound card and record it on the recorder.

Good luck!

thanks walt , I use both and i find that fruity loops has some kick *** drums , and acid i've found i can use in my sleep ( it's that easy point click done) but acid has some realy cool FX and other things that you can mess with , there are a lot of programs out there , just find one you work the best with .

FruityLoops: service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear

Acid Pro: service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear

Acid dj (Lite version): service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear

Buying through musician's friend, like Geoff said, usually gets you a pretty decent price, they ship pretty quickly and you help support this website...so it's win-win-win ;-)

Geoff, by they way, you are the second "Geoff wit a G" that I know, thother is one of the all-time greatest bass players I have ever had the pleasure of "talking bass" with...you are in good company :-)

Yep, MF is a good place to deal with. I bought my new midi interface there, and they shipped it a week and half earlier then they origanally said they would.
