now that i know it works...Its a hard program to work with. does it tell the story well? did you feel for the guy? or was it just dumb?
notice matchlight and bottle pour at begining

I LOVE it...dude, that is VERY cool indeed. And the video compliemnts the music perfectly. I also like the song that goes with it...it has TonyD stamped ALL over it!
Fantastic work with the video and I can say, it REALLY works well. Must have taken some time.
My friend, if yer at a loose end and fancy making one of those for one of my new songs for the new band (The Des Moines Riot we are called!), it would be bloody awesome...BRILLIANT effort!

as for loose ends, i have ney a luuse end in me huuse... but im on the road. send me a link to a song with a basic idea- im limited to what is provided but itll give me somethin to do in the evenings.
and thanks alot for the praise, i was worried maybe i took the art a little far.... and it got sorta dumb. never know how people will see stuff. means alot

Throw Your Hand was the one I was thinking would go best...perhaps some symbolic card playing (tho its obviously relating far more to the hand life throws ya but someone chucking it when they cant win kinda style).
I actually wrote none of the lyrics to that song but it has, I think, the best music I have wrote in any band song so, for the symbolic/imagery, anything goes ;-) !
As I say, ye can mail me if ye want more info details and we can discuss and aye, it wid be AWESOME if ye could do anything with it.
As for your movie Tony...I say again, its well constructed and looks very cool. Reminds me of an Aerosmith type video which is always cool...good effort bud. How did ye make it out of noseyness??? Cool work.
As for you being me, err, I dunno where I put that buddy...tho I do recall pmsl the first time you recorded it..all gid fun!

This one is my own personal one, the Bad Martini one expires soon and its NOT being renewed.
I also just got me the www.thedesmoinesriot.com to go with the UK .co.uk version (also gave me hosting, previously just had the .co.uk with dns settings pointing at the "site" on my business site).
I own FAR too many but, use domain masking where possible......now I should just have the 2 business .com's, my own personal site (above) and the band (dmr) ...
But aye, I do take your point for sure!
And now, time for ma kip at 1.32am!

I used your stuff to learn from and hacked up the thing big time but alas, its never meant to see the light of day (see the .com - thats the site I am using).
So, apologies if that seemed oota order, as I say, should never have been out there for people to see. I will of course be panning it offline today for the reasons you state and replacing with my own .com site...

Jan 13, 2006 11:09 am TonyD, I really enjoyed this! I already commented on the song in the Copmposition forum. I dabble in anim as well. I think you did a great job. Can you tell me more about what you used to create the anim? One thing you might consider (I took some classes here in videography and directing so forgive me if I sound academic) is to try to always make your cuts on action. There were a couple of places where maybe the cuts could have been more engaging. Still, I really, really loved the production and the creativity...

Jan 13, 2006 02:44 pm I used The Movies Game. game. Its a real game where you run a movie studio from the 1920's through today. The other thing it does is allows you to make movies..
Goto www.themoviesgame.com they will explain it much better, also there are a bunch of movies to download. some are quite good. That was my first attempt, and you are limited in scope as to what you can do in the sandbox mode. But i think with some practice i can get it down fairly well.
