Me and my friends just got finished putting together a small movie. On my monitors, it sounds fine but whenever we play it on a tv (the speakers) we always get some nasty rattles. I told him to cut 8 db at 120 with a Q of 1 and that didnt help. Anyone got any suggestions?

It might be lower then 120hz. Youmight want to take alook with a spectrum anylizer and see were the peaks are in the lower end. TV speakers arent user friendly unless it is a more expensive TV.

does it go away with turning the volume down? TV audio should be limited to -6db because... analog TV circuits will distort well earlier than most of us audio folks would like to think. check the volume compaired to broadcast TV not CDs too :)

If it's an EQ problem start the low freq cut at 300hz and let nothing lower than 100hz pass... unless you have thunder and trains instead of dialogue :)
