Hello there,
I am quite a noob in homerecording :D.
So maybe my problem is quite simple but,
cant get it to work properly on my own.

The problem is that my incoming signals is to low.
Especially when the 1/2 (first and second channel) is set to "L", but it increases dramaticly when changing to "M". But it's just not the 1/2 channel that is low either. Its every other channel to. So my thought is that some sort of "Line-in" volume is set very low.
How do i change that? :/
Or how do i fix my problem? :/

Grateful for help on this problem.

To better help you, we would need to know what you have hooked up, and how you have it hooked up. Be as specific as possible.

Ah yeah, ofcourse.
ESP1010 with WaMi Rack (and midi support wich i dont need for my current project).
First of all im using Cubase SX 3.
I've got 2 microphones that we use for singing
(XLR-Analog cables),
and 2 microphones for miking up an acoustic guitar and a piano(XLR-XLR cables).
The "instrumental" microphones are plugged in via the XLR connections, and the "singing" microphones via the analog inputs.
The only way to get descent input volume is to change "L" to "M" in the built-in mixer from ESI. But that only helps two of the four microphones that are plugged in.
I have checked the sound settings in my Windows XP professional but it's already on the maximum (Microphone setting). And so is the settings in the built-in ESI mixer.
Are there any other way to increase the input volume for those "analog connections"?
Thanks.

Your two connectors on the face of the 1010 are the only 2 inputs with a pre-amp. You'll need something to boost the signals of the other two mics, like a mixer, in order to run them into the 1010 line-in inputs...

Yep, jamil got it spot on. The 1010's first 2 inputs will need the setting to be M instead of L as the M is for Mic input and the L is for line input.

Are your mic's perhap's condensor mic's and need phantom power? If so you will need to have a power supply for the 1010 as well as that is the way it will supply teh 48volt phantom power needed.

You will also notice that their are input gain control's for 1/2. Mkae sure you set these up to the level it need's to get a good signal.

Then you can go to the main mixer panel and adjust your input and output level's there.

I use ESI's WAmiRakc 1010 as well as their WAveTerminal 192M and love them. I havent had any problem's getting my level's plenty high at all.
