Humbucker for a jaguar...

I am building a jaguar to play lead/rhythm blues. It is a vintage body, so im not gonna carve it up, but there is a slot for a single coil in the neck position and a humbucker at the bridge.

i've already gotten my hands on a fender 57/62 for the single coil neck position..

and im looking for a humbucker that will help pronounce my mids distorted or clean.. So far all I've found is a seymour duncan alnico II pro, or a gibson 498t alnico..

any suggestions on something that will complement the single coil well? or just something that is worth checking out?

thanks

As far as I know the only Jaguar that has a humbucker in the bridge is the Japanese reissue of recent year's.

However the Jag/Stang has a humbucker in the bridge position. If you have the Jaguar with the single coil space you can find a DiMarzio Fast Track 2 which is a humbeker fit into a single coil space. It can also be coil tapped to for use as Single/Paralell/Hum if needed. That is how I have the center pickup on my mocified Ibanez set up.

I believe tha Q-Tuner dB mentioned above can also be done that way. Not absolutely sure on that.
