Hello,

I just recieved my MobilePre USB audio interface and mic today. I got everything set up and installed. I can't get my computer to record from the preamp. I can't even get sound to my somputer's speakers. I can hear sound when I plug my headphones into the preamp though, so I know it works.

What do I do?
Any suggestions?

And by the way, Yes the default recording devive is set to the preamp.

What software are you trying to record with? That might help to know that.

Well, I'm first tried with Audacity, then I tried in Goldwave, after that I tried Cakewalk Pro 5. None of these worked. In Audacity when I hit record, the recording doesn't move forwards. The little recording line thing blinks, as if it wants to record, but it still is at 0.00 seconds into the recording.

Hope that made sence.

But then if I hit stop and then record again, the line moves across, but no fluctuation in the audio. Theres not even a flat horizontal line.

Are the meter's for the mobile pre's control panel moving? Also are the meter's in your recording application moving at all? If the mobile pre meter's are not moving you have a driver problem. If the recording apps' meter's are not moving then you eiterh do not have the driver's selected correctly for recording input or you have not armed a track for recording.

Try these and let me know.

Noize is right, sounds like u don't have the correct drivers selected, or a valid/active input selected, or the track armed.

Thank-You! It was a driver problem. I had the latest driver, bur for some reason it didn't like my computer. After I tried downgrading, it worked just fine.

Thanks,
Mark
