So when is there gunna be a HRC Summit or Conference?

Reckon i'd fly over for that one!

You could have name badges, deligate packs, guest speakers, the works!

Wouldn't be short of live entertainment!

During our "staff meetings" (usually four or five beers into it) Noize and I have talked about that sort of thing, set up a small PA in a small rented room, get a hold of a couple local reps for some audio gear companies or local engineers, try to sucker some small trinkets out of some sponsors...

it's all do-able, really...just one small thing, MAYBE 20 people would come...so that is kind of a buzzkill...

It'd be fun tho, just have an open stage, an amp or two, a drumkit, couple o' mics...

Well, I could likely expense it as a business trip too...I have, since going on my own as a self-employed person, folded HRC under my corporate expenses/incomes...and coco is a staff member...so, well, there ya go, business trip...of course my CFO (a.k.a. wife) would have to come too...

If it's in MN it has to be during a "non snowy season"

Last time I was there a few years ago it started snowing as my plane was taxi'n to leave...everyone started shouting "go! go! go!!" "HURRY!!!" etc...

plus with the crazy drivers there I would probably die in a few minutes... I lasted five minutes in San Antonio before wrecking both of my groups rental cars... :)

scotland would be nice...we could all stay in a hostel :)

man, it'd have to be a super-super-super-super saver tickets for me to get anywhere near an airplane.

Plus, the airport is so far from my house =).

Minnesota is a little more possible, but I ain't driving there in the winter. All surface roads, I'd have to drive 45 mph all the way there. It'd take me 4 days to get there =).

I'm actually planning a road-trip for next month . IF everything goes right, I'll be able to catch-up with WYD in Nashville, and Loki in Houston on our way to Freeport, TX where my buddy lives that we're going to visit . From there we're off to the Tampa, FL area to visit some of her fam, and then back to Michigan... about 3800 miles, give or take . Should be a blast !

It is Summer in Australia! Could be an option.

you cant get a bus here but the hot weather and cold beer could be a motivator!

Perhaps a HRC world tour might be in order.

An HRC World Tour!
Cool.

You're worried about the cold in Minnesota, then you start thinking Edinburgh?

Always summer in California......And ALL the factories are here.

We have it all here! Plus NAMM is HUGE!

By the way, I have a question about the "Guest Speakers."

Should they be passive, or active?
Or should that have been a new thread?

Well on the upside, I love the idea. As for it happening real soon I will through in this little bit of trivia. If any of you are familier with Tape-Op the magazine, it was about 10 year's I believe before good ol' Larry Crane managed to get his first Tape-Op Con together with subscriber's and the like coming from around the globe.

I do see it in HRC's future for sure. If by chance I win the Lottery it may happen even sooner. I do think MN would be a good choice though as it is the center of the universe isnt it? Aside from that we could get our good freind Ben to have Music Go Round help sponser the event and hook us up with the major gear and such.

I did a simialr thing at my old bands first show...we invited everyone from a chatroom we knew who lived local... about 20 showed up...and made up 90% of the audience.

...some of 'em were pretty scarey :)

Maybe we could have 3 events and hook up a video conference every hour or so.

Europe, USA and Australia.

Might be a good launch for the "Save the Music" project !!!

and Coco's hibs thingy! (globally) :)
