hmm... you might have some luck with a virtual modular synth... though I myself am just starting to learn how to use them...

Guitar Rig would tackle that one, but it still wont sound the best.

If you have a midi controller you be better off with a plug in. heaps of good ones out there.

Maybe even double track the GR and the MIDI ?

Ive had some luck with simply pitching the part down an octave. acoustic guitar works quite nice like this, but theres no substitute for a real bass IMO
