Welcome to HRC!!

I don't know much about the unit, but I will give you this advice:

Make sure that you have taken a good look at computer-based recording before you go with a stand-alone unit. i can say this, because I am a converted stand-alone user. If you are just a guy who wants to multi-track some stuff, and you do a lot of over dubs, and you really only need to record two tracks at a time (or maybe four) and you already have a decent computer...you can probably get more bang for your buck by going computer-based.

This is just based on my personal experience, and based on what I have learned from the good people here at HRC!

There...not only have I not helped you...I've probably confused you more. Stick around here a while and you'll have all of your questions answered, and you can make the right decision for you!

Thanks Jim,
I think for now I am leaning toward the stand-alone way for several reasons.
Number One-Teenagers at home and long time on the computer now gets me alot of grief. Thanks for your reply, and I'll keep on watching.
