Whoa...WWE Eddie Guerrero died before the RAW/Smackdown show last night...DAMN, I could have had a pair of tickets to that for really cheap, almost went, in large part to see Eddie, he was awesome.
Nothing is suspicious about the death or anything, but still very sad for wrestling fans, he was a great character.

Though it's never cool to see people die, Eddie's character was awful and honestly offensive. Another in the long line of ethnic wrestlers (the Iron Sheik, Rowdy Roddy Piper, etc.) willing to make a mockery of their culture to entertain a bunch fools (myself included over the years). I thought Eddie was an offensive parody of the latino culture very akin to black artists wearing blackface and dancing the jim crow.
Oh well, it's america and that's what america loves.

Nov 14, 2005 09:32 pm Yep, he was over the top when it came to pushing the boundry of his character. But that is what sell's tickets and what he was getting paid to do. Most of those guy's create their own character's, or I should say all those guy's do.
But like ya said coolo, america loves the show those guy's put on.
Eddie was one fo those guy's who did put on a good show for sure adn will be sorely missed in that arena.

yep cheap & bad entertainment draws a big crowd here in the states.
Nov 16, 2005 10:44 am coolo, I agree, in part of what you said, but, if you have seen the history of that guy, he really dragged himself out of the gutter and made something of himself. You may not like how, but, well, I have some respect for the man.
