I only got a chance to listen to The Life I Choose so far, I will definately be listening to the rest. Nice simple arrangement, but very well put together. I assume you recorded this in GarageBand on your Mac. Listening to Berklee now, again nice simple arrangement for sure. When I have some time later this weekend I will try to catch the other tunes and give you some feedback.

Be patient waiting for others to listen as well. Sometimes it can take several days for anyone to get a chance to listen and give ya feedback.

Mike, took a listen to berklee, and This Life I Choose. Cool stuff. The one thing I noticed (I can't really critique the mix and levels and such because I only have pc speakers), is on Berklee... watch your timing. The song flows very well, but there's a couple spots where you just get a *tad* off (0:25 into Berklee, for example). On the more difficult parts, play them to a metronome a few times to nail it when recording.

But yeah, cool stuff. Cool sounds, cool tones to the instruments too. You have way more talent at 15 than I have at 23. Keep it up.

not the brightest spark...

Hey mike!

That's sensitive stuff man. You have alot of patience. I'm listening to the mix on my Event TR5's and it sounds very balanced. Nice acoustic sound and a warm sounding mix.

Like me you sem to like layering simple melodic lines.

I didn't see mogwai or Godpspeed on your list of tunes.

If you know them I'm sorry if I sound patronising. If you don't check out these man. I think you'd like them.

Mogwai- Happy songs for happy people
Godspeed you black emperor -Lift your skinnny fists like antennae to heaven.

For emotive post rock it don't get much better than that.

Nice work.

Your arrangement on Life I choose is pretty well done. Your choice's of sounds fits really well and adds soem life to the piece. I must agree with kenneth though on some timing issues in this one as well. Very minor though, but in the long run worth a redo. I also like the use of the backwards parts, they were placed very well throughout the tune and add some drama to it. Especially the outro, short and sweet.

Berklee is a nice moody piece, again I like the arrangement. A few timing issues, but they are very slight.

Shadowed Lakeside, another well put together piece. I would maybe work on the tone of the acuostic guitar a little bit. Maybe a pinch of reverb would help it out when in the heavy parts of the mix. Again, timing in a couple of places can be worked on as well.

The intro to Being Right could use a little work again in the timing department. And maybe tone wise for the electric guitar part, and it seemed a little out of tune as well. Otherwise I liked the drums were they sat in the main part of the mix. And the bass line is very catchy indeed, nice hook. The acoustic lead parts were very nice as well and fit. Nice simple arrangement and flow up and down rythm wise.

Thank you, all of you. And yes Mogwai has been an influence to me although not too heavy of one.
