Oh you Goobers you! I hate you Goobers! Whoever the Goobers are, FOO on you! I was in first place last week, and a devastating loss to the Goobers put me in a 4-way tie for first place. 3rd place when you fall back on total points scored this season. LT put a hurtin on me with 4 TDs.
Well, I have to say that my team has served me well. Brees-Gates is proving to be a pretty potent combination, and even a gimpy Holmes is better than most other fantasy RBs.
Plus my Chiefs pulled off the play of the week with the rushing TD with 5 seconds left on the clock to go 5-3 and get 1 game behind those dirty Donkies from Denver. Oh happy day!

Nov 08, 2005 11:26 pm If you want to start winning games, you're gonna have to give up on Ferotte as your QB. Green and Brooks are both available and would net you more points than old Gus.
Some different receivers wouldn't hurt much either, and several of the available defenses would do better than either of yours.
A little bit of swapping and you could be in business because you're strong at running back and tight end. You can dooo eeeet! :)
Nov 09, 2005 06:45 am yeah, you won a game...*****...
Nov 09, 2005 08:58 am Hey!! After a shaky start, and a few weeks of Peyton Manning not throwing any touchdowns, I have worked my way up into the fabled four-way tie for first!!
Of course, the Packers still suck, having only won one frickin' game all year. And it doesn't get any easier from here on out.
Nov 09, 2005 09:02 am Man, talk radio is funny, on KFAN all the callers are jumping on the Brad Johnson Bandwagon already...jeezuz, they beat the Lions, big deal, they suck, the Vikes BETTER beat them...ain't nothin to get excited about yet...
I feel for ya Jim, it just ain't the Packers year.
Nov 09, 2005 09:07 am You're right...not our year. In a strange way, it's almost more fun to watch Packers' games this year, because there is no pressure for them to win. I don't get all bent out of shape when they lose, because I expect it. Plus, I'm learning a bunch of new names that I never heard before...I don't even recognize half of the names when they say them on TV!
Not only that, no matter what you say, it's a heck of a lot of fun watching Brett Favre play quarterback!

Nov 09, 2005 09:25 am Hoo-Haa! (from the Goober's sideline)
I haven't even looked yet, I'm guessing they did good =)
I picked up a different receiver through the week. I had 2 WR that weren't even playing, IR and NA or something like that.
I took three losses in a row, so they were due to win.

Nov 09, 2005 02:34 pm I had this really strange dream lsat night....
It all seemed so real but it was so farfetched at the same time.
The season had already started, in fact, it was halfway through already.
My hapless Giants were not only 6-2 but we had led the league in scoring by game right from the first week and never gave it up.
Strange stuff I know.
Is HRC having a FF league?
In my dream, we did but I joined a few weeks late.
I'd love to get in on it for the draft if you're having one dB.
Nov 09, 2005 02:35 pm hehehehe...guitar jim is running this years FF league...I am getting my *** kicked.

Nov 09, 2005 03:52 pm So it wasn't a dream?
Lots of time left, Shep's Yellow Flags will make their run in the second half.
