hey, havent been on in ages, college taking up all my time but im learning the ins and outs of pro tools so its all good!
we have a room to jam in in the college but the only prob is it sounds terrible! almost peircing on the ears, theres no carpet or dampening material on the walls at all, will hanging a few pieces around the room improve it?

Oct 20, 2005 03:33 pm it certainly won't hurt. heavy quilts, carpet, carpet padding, choaches or chairs, bookshelves... www.homerecordingconnecti...story&id=50 it'll all help.
Anything to get the sound moving differently or stop it from moving.
Welcome back to HRC :-)
Oct 20, 2005 11:10 pm What are the cabinets called to put your computer in to silence the hum?
Oct 21, 2005 06:53 am a computer coffin...cuz it'll kill it, don't isolate it too much, you computer needs ventalation. You are better off buying higher quality fans or a better cooling system.

Oct 23, 2005 04:13 pm peterparker, its probably mostly your fans and PSU as well as the HD's that are making most of the racket. I installed a kit form Antec www.antec-inc.com and it really helped out with the noise problem. They have isolation mounts for almost anything that can vibrate in the PC case.
