I got this today and its a really cool 8-track but there is this really annoying fuzz noise when i turn the master volume up over half way.
Anyone know how to stop this!

Sep 23, 2005 10:02 am Could be a bad ground in your wall power plug in. Try another wall socket. Or try conditioned power, or a UPS. That would give you a good ground to attach to (theoretically).
Is it used? If brand new, I'd return it right away.

Sep 23, 2005 08:26 pm This may seem silly but do you have control for either channel gain or master gain? IF so is one of the channels gains set real high.
By gain I mean input gain, which is generally a knob at the top of the fader channel strip.
Sep 23, 2005 10:18 pm Yeah I have one of those and the onboard preamps are not the best. I use my Tubepre for everything that I record on my MR8. Like Noize is saying, the best that you could do is make sure your gain isnt too high, it sound like one of them are.
