Wanting an upgrade from SB Audigy..

Hello folks..

I am wanting to upgrade from SB Audigy 2 Platinum because of the latency issues and that fact that it is incompatible with 44.1. Now, I know there are alot of folks out there who use this card and are very happy with it, and if you can tell me why I should not upgrade, I would be happy to hear your opinion. Otherwise my needs are basically pretty simple.. record vocals (sometimes several stacks on BGV's) and guitar live. I will have a slave keyboard for all my Midi instrumentation and from time to time I may incorporate various other live instruments (bass, horns, strings etc.)as the song calls for them.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thank you for any and all advice.

Marcus

M-Audio Delta 1010LT - best $199 you'll ever spend.

If you dont need Midi then you could go the Delta 44 or 66 also.

If you want to upgrade for recording, I wouldn't tell you no, but I wouldn't replace, I would add a new card and keep the Audigy. You never know when you will need it to run midi.

I agree with coolo, keep it for gaming, MIDI or whatever.

The main consideration isn't what instruments you will record as much as how many are you going to record at the same time...
