Homemade Pop Filter

This is for anyone out there who doesn't want to spend (or have) 20$ for a pop filter. Take a regular metal hanger and unwind it so that its fairly straight. Then, bend a circle starting at one side of the hanger so that its about 6"s wide. Find a pair of old nylons or, go to a shoe store and see if they have those mesh-like socks people use to try on shoes. Somehow fashion your nylon over the circle and either staple (like I did) or tape it to the hanger. With the remaning 18" or so left straight on your hanger, somehow wind that up on the microphone stand.

P.S. If you are still getting pops, put another layer of nylon on.

I've done it. Works wonders. But I just need to get a real preamp for this mic. Then I'll be glorious!
