This is my first recording with my new setup and I wanted to get some feels for it. My singing is pretty shaky. I was having troubles finding the proper key and capturing the smoothness of the original song but I think it is listenable.
The music is a karaoke track that I only played around with a bit to sit in the mix better.
Let me know what you think and please give me tips, comments, criticisms, etc :)

Jul 30, 2005 12:35 am they vox are bit off...not really the same melody as the original...but other than that...the backing track sounds good...haha...
just keep at it...youll get it...

You must also, where possible, try to let it go and just release your voice.
I think I hear a bit of tension where you know maybe you're range is limited...best way to overcome it is to give it some belt and see how it goes.
Compensate for said power by standing further back from the MIC. I am not a singer by definition (nor am I singer really - I am a guitarist) but I done this on ALL my songs and I think, my vox have improved over the last 2 years since I started doing just this.
Best advice I can give - dont be affraid to make a bad recording then, you'll learn about which keys you can use/cant use and how to control the power...
Good luck man.
