Anyone from New York City?

Hey, i am from Melbourne and i am heading to New York in about a month on holidays and i was wondering if someone can tell me where the best music stores are?
I want to see if i can get a 70s fender telecaster while i am there if the prices are better than what they are here.

I have heard of SamAsh music and thats about it but i don think that they deal in vintage guitars but i will check that place out for the more recent music stuff.
