MIDI control question-Please help!

I don’t know much about connecting MIDI devices but here is my problem. I have 3 devices, a Vetta amp, a drum machine and a keyboard. The amp is device 1, the keyboard device 8 and the drum machine is 9 (bass) and 10 drums. If I connect any of these devices by itself it works great. If I chain the drum machine with the amp, nothing works in either order. If I connect the keyboard and drum machine only the device that is last in the chain works.

How can I get these 3 devices to all work in the same chain? Or is this impossible with only 1 MIDI controller (which is a Fire-wire 410 in this case.)

Any advice would be appreciated!

you need a better midi interface....otherwise go in the inputs and out the THRU's not the outs...well 'cept for the first one in the chain....any peticular reason you're runnin' midi to the vetta, or are ya hookin' it up cuz you can?
