I am IN PAIN!

I just spent 3 1/2 hours each of the last two days in a live action/training seminar with Gracie Barra trained Brazilian JiuJitsu Black Belt, Marco Joca.

Holy crap the things a well trained, agile fella like him can do...really teaches me how much I have lost over the years, but I am pluggin away trying to get some of it back!

Right now I am just in pain tho...7 hours of JiuJitsu, plus one hour of Kenpo last night...I'm toast, pray for me...

Dude, yer a madman!! But, if ye enjoy it and its good for ye, its all good man.

Big respect for ye going oot and getting it back and havin it large.

I should and probably will get into some decent fitness regime of sorts but alas, the time I do not have. However, I surely agree that a healthy body breeds a healthy mind...but, at this time, with 2 kids (young) walkin and runnin after them takes most of ma time!!

Anyways, kudos to ye all the same.

Cheers

Thanks Coco,

For me it wasn't a matter of having time, you know full well I am a busy dude, but I MADE the time. Another great things about it is I got my family into it too, so now it's family time, and makes for fun at home and when me and my kids grapple and stuff to practice, it's a blast.

I'll tell ya, my six year old daughter is solid iron now, her muscles are hard...I didn't realize a kid that young could even have that...she can rattle off 30 pushups like nothing...

hey, don't bet on it. Yes, the one year old is a bit young, but my youngest is turning 4 next month, she's been doing it for 3-4 months now...and I am stunned at what she has learned...she has actually learned a couple kicks, punches, knees, elbows and can push off about 8 pushups before giggling and falling down...most kids that age learn more basic motor skills than actual martial art skills, but it's motor skills teaching them basic foundations for martial art skills...and ya know what? She goes twice a week, and no matter what she is doing, or with who, if I say "time for Kenpo class" she drops what she's doing, jumps up and down and comes runnin'. She loves it.

My instructor says he has taught kids as young as two, and, if they are private sessions he can teach alot, but in a "class" of 2 year olds it's impossible to do anything...which I can believe...he specializing in teaching ADD and ADHD kids as well, his patience level is absolutely stunning.
