Pinnacle Systems sucks ass...

damnit...I just upgraded my version of Pinnacle Studio 7 to Studio 9 Plus...and yet again, as every time I buy a Pinnacle product, it's a nightmare to get the right range of patches and crap to get it working...Their gear is great when it finally gets working, but it's always a pain in the *** to get working. Right now I am so pissed off I can't even see straight...

Jeezuz, I wish I had never bought that Pinnacle capture card those few years ago...

Sorry, had to rant...

And to think, they "sold" Steinberg! What a nightmare of a "Support" site! I've got Studio 8 and all its mess. I sympathise (I need a dictionary, too much doubtful spelling on my part.)

Tiem for a new capture card? I am glad I never got a Pinnacle. After hearing all the crap you have gone through dB. I think I will just get me a Dazzle.

Just as an update, the next day I got everything working. I had to uninstall everything related to Pinnacle software and hardware, remove all folders and files, remove all registry entries then reinstall the capture card and the new Pinnacle Studio software...and it all got working...kind of a hassle, but I got the capture done I needed, and it worked well.

That's the rub, Pinnacle stuff is a pain sometimes, but once ya get it working, it rocks.

::sigh::

I feel for you dB, had the same problems with them. They are like Cisco to me, sometimes a pain to get to work but rock when it does!
