Excuse Me, I Like 2 Ask Question

Okay My studio is in my bedroom.. and i need like two wall panels to form an L shape and i need one panel to have a door in it, with a ceilng, so i can place the L shape figure in the corner of my room and have it like a booth, but im not tryin to achieve a recording booth. i just need seperation so people inside can feel like its only them and no ones watchin so they aint nervous...

were can i get something like this? and how much?

it cant be permanet..my moms will kill me, im only 17..lol..well maybe i can dawn the idea on to her..lol..any other options?

get a big refrigerator box or 2 and some clothspins hang blankets on the inside and out to beef it up a little and shazam disposable(err..recyclable ) booth .throw a blnket over the top whatever creativity is half the fun of this little experiment we call recording OH YEAH LOTS AND LOTS OF DUCT TAPE!

Build some gobos (walls that move). I think theres an article on them in the recording tips section. Otherwise try a google search.

I've built a few small walls , some for display and some for sound. I'd suggest building one as well. The chances of buying something just like you want it are probably pretty small. Building it can put you right in the zone of feng shui.

I suppose if you're 17 and don't have access to a table saw, and a few other tools, it might be a real problem. But if you are, that'd be the ticket.

home depo will cut for me and i have some tools in the shed.. im a teachers aid in woodshop class at school.. so yeah i can do a limit of it there..

any one have some blue prints or steps to make this wall?

this by far is the best thing to do, you don't wanna build new walls because you'll get massive bass buildup, and you can kiss your next tight mix goodbye. sound absorbing gobos will not only help partition the room, but will also help your mixes.
