Feb 28, 2005 08:49 am How many different instruments do you have sampled when this happens? See if it happens when you have a lot of samples playing at one time.

Feb 28, 2005 09:19 am also effects, or plug ins. reverb takes lotsa cycles.
is this machine on the interent? is there a possibility that some unwanted software worked it's way onto your PC?
When you're troubleshooting, be consistent and thorough, or you might lose track of what fixes it.

Feb 28, 2005 01:24 pm i do have some effects running like reverb... that could be it. i dont have drum mics for my kit so i was trying to get the most real sounding toms, cymbals, bass, and snare sounds and then editting them.
it should be the reverb though because i never realized that was happening until i had the effects in
thank you. i'll check it out.

Feb 28, 2005 01:40 pm I've done some expirements with FL and the tom hicks samples. I run the project dry, then mix it down and import the stereo file into ntrack and then add effects. It's been pretty decent for me.
Now I'm dabbling in the nskit in midi in FL's soundfont player.
