I heard some1 talk about some software that you can use to take the vocals or a sax off their backing tracks any one no how it’s done?

Feb 22, 2005 03:03 pm Nothing can do it perfectly. Most of it is done by EQing relavent frequencies out of the spectrum of fi you have a solo chunk of the instrument you can possibly have an app that will "learn" that sound and remove it, which is the theory that noize reduction apps work on.
That said, it's a very imperfect science.

Feb 24, 2005 10:50 pm Here's a free one I just found. I used it on Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone". Actually, quite amazingly it did rip out the vocals. Of course, it really messed up the overall harmonic balance of the track as well, but you can't have everything!
