Feb 19, 2005 05:12 pm i had this problem with cool edit back in the day. there's a way to fix it, i just dont rememebr what it is. go into settings on cool edit and on your soundcard. check everything.

I'm trying to record using Cool Edit Pro 2 and a Eurorack mxb1002. When I try to record another track over the track I just recorded, it just records the playback AND whatever I'm trying to put down on a NEW track. Get it?? Basically, it just seems to be recording and not playing back. Any help would be great. Nobody around here have seen anything like that before.

Feb 19, 2005 05:14 pm check your start menu > contol pannel > volume control clikc optinons > recording
make sure there's not a check mark on the "what you hear" fader.
