Feb 09, 2005 12:48 am Yeah, I live in Virginia and thats just part of the problem. I live not too far away from Virginia Beach and the laws and Police are a little out of hand. If your cars exhaust or stereo is too loud you get a ticket. Keep in mind this is not a residential area. If you stumble out of a bar and speak any profanity in front of a cop, you get a ticket. If you drive past the same check point more than twice in one hour, you get a ticket. Thast just a few more "laws" the tax collectors, I mean, police are enforcing.

Feb 09, 2005 11:57 pm The check point goes like this. The have police cars stationed at two to three points along Atlantic Ave which is the main "strip" at the ocean front. What the police do is record the plates of the cars that drive by and if you go by more than twice you get a ticket for "cruising". Its an attempt to control traffic in a congested tourist area.
