Hey Flame, I know in my version of Cubase (LE) you can go into Project setup and you will have options such as sampling rate, bit rate and you will be able to select "stereo" or "mono". There is also a way to do this for each individual channel as well, I think it's one of the small icons on each channel strip to switch mono/stereo.

Also, in LE, the ENTIRE manual is under the help menu at the top in pdf format. I would imagine yours is the same. Good luck!

Steinberg doesn't ship manuals with Cubase? That is just the lamest...I am growing to dislike Steinberg more and more...One more mark for Cakewalk, they ship a HUGE manual with Sonar...like 600 pages...it rocks...

I was not impressed at first that I didn't get a manual with it but it is actually VERY handy having the manual in pdf format...It's always there, no one can borrow it and lose it or misplace it. I always have the manual minimized for quick reference, you have "search" capabilities etc. I grew to love having the manual in this format, although having both would be ideal. Before I got Cubase (came with my FirePod) I used CakeWalk Sonar 2.0 and I was weary of switching to Cubase LE but they are actually almost identical (functionally and visually), I learned everything about Cubase in about 2 days and have stuck with it since...I like both.

Flame, if you hold your cursor over the small icons on your channel strip it should give you a "smart tip" as to what they do, then just click the "mono/stereo" and you should be ROCKIN!!!

I have never found the usefulness of a pdf. I want a book I can bring on the bus so I can read on the way to work, sitting on the can and stuff like that...

Same way with me! I need the manual printed! I need to be able to go from page to page, compare things, read in the toilette as well.
I can't stand PDF manuals!!!

WEll, Sonar acutally embeds the most usefull helpfile and tutorials I have ever seen in their stuff. And you can choose not to install them as well if ya dont need em. They also include along with the printed manual a pdf version as well.

And ya, I gotta agree. When I need a manual, I wanna be able to take it to the readin room with me as well, or in the van while wating to pick up the kids or what ever.

And hell, who would spend $60.00 in ink and paper to print out a manual. That is just plain lame of the Steinberg to pull a stunt like that. Now wonder rumor had it they were in financial trouble.
