Well, I took the plunge and decided to purchase a new acoustic which finally arrived yesterday. :)

I have a couple of pictures up so far at: www.ntertainmentgroup.com/charlie/newguitar.html if anyone is interested in checking it out. I will be posting some new recordings from it when I get a chance also. :) I was just psyched about it so I had to share with everyone. :)

I've had a Takimine for about 10 years now, and it's definitely a pretty classy instrument. Mine's a nylon string a/e cutaway. The onboard electronics and preamp are pretty nice for performance. Plus, it'll sound better every day for as long as you own it. the wood takes on a nice maize color that deepens as the years go by.

I see you have it plugged in...you're not thinking of recording it direct are you? Nooooo! Oh, the humanity! ;-)

DB: lol yeah yeah. Thanks :)

Hue: It is a Takamine. :)

Tadpui: yes, Takamine's are awesome. I have had a G-230 acoustic for some time now and fell in love with it so I ordered the new one to add another one to the collection. I have an acoustic bass in line to add to the collection at some point also, but I have yet to decide on the model.

As for plugged in, nope I was just fiddling with the onboard electronics on there. Had to test it out with the amp caus I have never found any acoustic that I really like plugged in. I must say though that for performance this one sounds awesome plugged in also just as it does unplugged. :) You also have the option on this one of bypassing the onboard EQ and using the amps EQ and what not also which is cool, not to mention this one has a built in tuner which is so sensitive that it is amazing!!! :)

Needless to say, I am very happy with my Takamines. :)

Nice guitar riffgod. I've had my Takamine 12 string for over 20 years and it still plays real nice. When I buy another acoustic it more than likely be a Takamine.

Yep, nice looking guitar for sure. I do like the sound of the Takamine as well. When plugged into the right amp or direct to PA they are very full sounding for sure.

Thanks guys, I actually snuck a recording of it on my new album in the tail end of mixing and mastering on my own. Just gotta get some $$ together now and I can press my album and get it out there. :) Very happy with the Takamine though, I just got a nice new hardshell case for it yesterday also that it can live in. lol
