Alesis Nano Series

Hi,

I'm looking to put together my first recording setup and have noticed the Alesis NanoCompressor and Nanoverb while searching through my catalogs. I'm interested more in the Compressor than the Nanoverb. Does anyone have any experience with it? For $59 is it a good deal or a POS?

Thanks for your help!

Mike

I have both effects in my little studio and they work well for me.The compressor helps me get the vocals blended in with the mix.Read the TIPS in this site about compression. You'll get a good idea of how to start. Also you might want to fill out a little more in your profile. The reverb will give you all you could ever possibly need but it works well at giving aliitle extra depth.Remember to go into the compreesor 1st then into the reverb.Really no need to buy one new tho.....you can find em all over ebay

Yup, Alesis makes some dependable gear, and affordable too. You can also look to a place called Music Go Round for used gear. musicgoround.com Or if you are going to buy new, and that is a good thing at those price's because you get a warranty and a little bit of confidance that it won't quit on you in the middle of something. But I like the preset's and the ease of setting's on both those little piece's of gear. So yes, they are a good investment for a small studio.
