Long time, guys. Hope all is well and you guys had a great Thanksgiving! I was wondering if you had any recommendations for a good quality headphone distribution amp. I'm looking for a way to have up to 8 headphone outputs for recording bands. I have considered buying (2) 4 output amps. I am looking at a Behringer Powerpro HA4600 as an option. What are your opinions? And can I chain them off of one another, or run one off of the headphone output 1 and the other off of the headphone output 2 from my Roland VS-2480? Please help! Thanks!
Mike
p.s. I am trying to keep this all around $200 or less if possible!

Dec 03, 2002 11:08 am no idea about chaining them. but as far as the headphone amp itsself goes, i do everything through it.
imo its the best deal of them out there.

Dec 03, 2002 01:30 pm Personally, I use the Samson Q5

(which I got from Noize2u :-) and it is awesome, and you can daisy chain them together. It's an awesome little headphone amp. Just a half rack for 5, which means one full space for 10 headphones!
if anyone wants to buy it please go to their front page via www.zzounds.com...ex.music?f=6055 so HRC can get some credit for the sale :-)

Dec 07, 2002 01:00 pm Yes, you can chain the HA4600s together. It has stereo outs for that purpose. The 4600 has 4 amps each amp having 3 heaphone outs for a total of 12. All four amps can be run from one mix or from 4 seperate phone mixes. Or you can blend a seperate mix into one amp along with the master mix. This thing is awsome.
