No, I moved them here FROM the home recording forum. They belong here...

Sorry for the confusion, I guess I could have clarified that.

Any chance someone could have a listen?
Only using basic gear and cheap mic as I'm getting the hang of multitracking before shelling out on stuff well maybe, the singing's not good of course but is the song OK?

Hi Cliff

(only commenting on Going Home as the other link is broken)

This isn't bad as a first attempt. I would suggest some fixes in the mix. Firstly, everything is pretty much panned up the middle which creates some conflicts. The lyrics/vocal are difficult to make out because of the reverb (too much) and, more importantly, blend with the (very muddy) bass. The rythum guitar has some tuning issues and the second guitar virtually disappears after the intro part. It would be nice if the vocal line lifted in the chorus more.

Thanks, all your points are correct except you were too kind perhaps, probably best I practice the song then just record on an acoustic maybe although it's enjoyable messing in cool edit and a pair of headphones, the bass is actually a guitar thats been pitch shifted and the guitar only has 5 strings, thanks again for your comments Zither I was expecting much worse I feel confident in trying some more
