now i have some problems with recording. okay it's not precisely the recording. i just wanna know if somebody could help in setting up my equipment right. so this is the equipment i've got:
behringer b-1 mic
behringer 1622 fx pro mixing console
soundblaster audigy 2
that's everything. oh, and i record everything in cubase sx.
now i just wanted to ask how can i get the best performance out of my mic. because the things i recorded so far with it, lacked something. the other problem is volume. they're not loud enough for me. (or am i just getting deaf?) no matter what, i'm still experimenting, because that's the only thing i can do. but i hope somebody can give me a helping hand here.
thanks!

B1 is a condensor right? I forget...but if so, make sure you have the phantom power on and compress it, compression is essential. And the mixer has an acceptable compressor on it, not the greatest, but it'll do the job.

I have that same mixer. What I would do is plug the outs of the Audigiy into a stereo set of ins on the mixer and assign them to the main outs, plug the mic into any mic channel and send it to the sub outs, send the sub outs on the mixer to the Audigy ins.

Eh, here, like this: www.homerecordingconnecti...tory&id=132
