Have four of them up for grabs for cheap. I gutted them out of new Dell cases a while back and they have only been used to test them to make sure they work 100%. If anyone needs some or wants some for backups for their studio they are up on Ebay at:

Oct 22, 2004 02:38 pm alright, i'm not as big of a geek as I'd like to think... what do these things do?
Oct 22, 2004 03:59 pm they supply power to the pc. The part of the pc where the plug come out to go into the wall is the back of the power supply. Inside it has many smaller wires and connectors for all the different devices. (mobo, hd, cd+rw, etc...).

Oct 22, 2004 04:01 pm Hey Loki, no prob. :) A power supply is what gets power to your computer from the plug that you plug into the wall basically. When you hook up your computer and plug the power cord into the back of your computer, it feeds power through the power supply to your hard drive, processor, mobo..etc.. inside your computer so that everything runs. They are very handy to have now days seeing as most common hardware issues on computers are traced to burnt out power supplies now days. Not to mention if you have to replace one, they are typically $50-$60 at a local compusa store to replace. I just happened to come across a lot of them when I was building some systems for a friend and have no use for them as I use more wattage on my studio computer actually. :) I figured I'd auction them and maybe someone could make good use of them. *shrugs*
