Afternoon...
Looking for some suggestions as to what type of portable recorder i can get to just switch on whenever i hear something id like to take home...and example would be the church across the street from my house...a recorder i could use just standing outside...
Thanks

you can use anything from a dictaphone or minidisc right up to a laptop or dedicated portable workstation.
for what youre looking to do, id recommend a minidisc player, such as this one cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISA...000253&rd=1 (cos its got a built in pre amp - always handy) and a mic. dont underestimate the value of those cheap computer mics you can get - theyre ultra sensative and usually fairly compact
hope this helps a little
