you got a mixer i presume? like a dj mixer rather than a music producer type mixer...

anyways, what problem are ya having in particular? got an mp3? what kinda sound you going for?

give us as much info as you got and we'll do our best to help

ive got scratchin mixer its an allen and heath xone 02. iv been recording with a microphone set up on 1 of my speakers to my computer which im using adobe audition to record with. i decided not to d.i. my turntables because it picked up 2 much unwanted noise which i found hard to get rid of.

basicly can i do anything to
1) improve my recording of my scratchin
and 2) when mixing my scratchin into my bands tracks it doesnt seem to blend in it kinda stands out to much.

Some suggestions...
Try puting your other tracks slightly askew of center, and you may find a place for your scratching to sit . Also, a LITTLE reverb, and some eq'ing may bring you the results your looking for . There's a great article on eq'ing in the Recording Tips section, which has been very helpful to me . Best of luck, man !

Have you considered www.analogx.com/contents/...dio/scratch.htm for recording purposes?

You said you don't want to record direct from your turntable. Do you have an aux out or something you can record from your mixer. Or is that what you meant.

Hey dB,

thanks. this is going to help me out as well.

I bought the Mixman DM2 and it's not great. It doesn't really scratch the music, it just adds a scratch sound. I hope this is more of what I was looking for. I am will try it out tonight when I get home.

Awsome. Thanks!
