line 6 has the pod 2.0 and the new podxt .. difference in price is about 150$. the new xt is supposed to feature their vetta amp sound. is it reallly worth the additional cost?
the next question is.. do i rack it or go with the compact version? i will save money.. but damn, racks are nice to have.
would i lose features or software options if i go rack over original?

Nov 11, 2002 05:24 pm Do like i do and just wait until it's in your local guitar shop and ask if you can check it out. plug in, amp up, and play with it for like 6 hours! LOL. and of course, rack it. thats looking ahead. -j
Nov 11, 2002 08:53 pm so far i havent seen a rack version of the xt model... and its a no go on the play before buy thing seeing as how the one store locally that carried their stuff just went out of business (mars).
*sigh* the complications of things

Nov 11, 2002 09:29 pm If you have ever played through their Vetta head, and I have. It had some very kick but patche's. Now I don't know if they will be the same, since the Vetta was an actual amp and the XT is of course just a POD.
Oh heck, who am I kidding. I saw the add for the XT and called to trade my POD in for one. I don't need to hear it, I allready know it is going to kick the crap out of all the other sim's out there.
As far as Rack or not. I vote not, because I like just throwing the thing in with my stuff and not haveing to cart around a big rack-O-crap. Beside's, I have mine mounted on a mic stand so I can just chuck it in the corner, or drag it around the house and play.
