Mbox Factory Bundle vs. Mbox

I have the opportunity to pick up an Mbox (standard bundle) for $390 which includes these plug ins and extras: Propellerhead Reason Adapted, Ableton Live Digidesign Edition, IK Multimedia SampleTank SE, IK Multimedia AmpliTube LE, and IK Multimedia T-RackS EQ. Or, I can spend $549.00 (extra $150) and get the factory bundle which includes these plug ins: Moogerfooger Analog, JOEMEEK's SC2 Compressor, JOEMEEK VC5 Meequalizer, Maxim, Cosmonaut Voice. My question is, is it worth me spending the extra $150 on these plug ins?

I would tend to agree with flame on that. The stuff you are getting with the 390 package is pretty cool all by itself.

Only problem is you can only use a certain type of plugins (RTAS) with Protools. I don't beleive there are any free in that format.

well, mike, if you spend $99 on the FXpansion plug then you can use all the free VSTs you want within Pro Tools.

If you have the $150, use it on FXpansion and get yourself an MXL mic...

Heeeellllllll noooo! I bought that Joe Meek bundle..it aint worth it buddy..I feel like they ripped me of..All you get is a compressor, no better or more exciting than the one that comes wit it..And a 4 band eq..which it allready comes with...Kick the butt of the salesman who trys to get you to spend the extra money..buy somethin else wit the 150...a better mic maybe

Normad, I will only let you know this. The software that comes bundled with that package is only light limited versions of the full software packages. A teaser really. Now some of it may be more thne usalbe for sure. But usually the limitations on stuff is pretty tight. And be it noted that to upgrade to the full versions usable with PT are about twice the price of any other version. But that said, I know el musico has had stellar luck with his stuff and he adds what he needs only when he needs it.

But as dB and flame said, the stuff is stellar software for sure, even the light versions are pretty excellant to start with.
