Hello,

I have the option of ordering BX5's offa eBay and paying about $450, or I can buy a pair of B2030A's locally for $500.

Which would you pick, and why?

Actually, I see tons of BX5's for around $300 off ebay. You must be referring to the BX8's which go for around $500 on ebay. I have the BX8's and I love them. To be honest, I haven't heard many other brands, like B2030A's for instance. I know M-Audio makes good stuff and I haven't been disappointed by their stuff yet. I would go to the local music stores and just hear different ones and see what you like.

That was gonna be my advice...you really have to listen to speakers and see which ones you like best. Buying speakers can be very personal...depends on your tastes, your music, your studio, your amp and such other factors.

Yeah, I'm just looking for a very flat sound that is cool to listen for awhile (no fatigue).

Any reviews on the behringer?

Reason bx5's are more is because i have to ship them from the states, and there's duty fees, so probably at least $100 added for both of those.

And i can only find new ones for $350, so im thinking i may go with behringers locally.

the bx5 in my opinion is horrible. I had a pair for three days and sent them back. If you can try the event tr5's. very nice sound for monitoring and not too much more money.

I've been looking at the Events. They are nice, but only have a 5" woofer. You think they're better than the behringer 2030As?

I like the fact that they have RCA ins.
