Just bought a Zoom 1266 and this is my first expierence with trying to home recored.
It has many good features to play with ,but the overall end result after burning your songs to cd are not that great!!!!! Are there any good books out there for beginers for recording ,mixing, and mastering????
Also do not know a whole lot about MIDI but was wondering -----> My zoom has a internal drum machine, but i also have a eletric drum kit. And was wondering if there is a way that you can use the drum pads (eletric kit) to triger the enternal drums and play and record
Just a thought???? Thanks Brian

Peter McIan's book "Using Your Portable Studio" is a must have. It's packed full of info that will help you understand lingo and the concepts of recording. He uses a lot of analogies that make it very easy to understand. And it was written for users with these types of recorders.
