studio monitors

hello all. i'm finally ready to purchace some studio monitors. (i'm tired of the poor results i'm getting from mixing with headphones)

any suggestions on type of speakers and name brand. $250.00 or less, i guess $300.00 at most.

This is lower end of the scale but better than headphones...

You could use Edirol's (MA10) which are quite good for the bucks. They also make slightly louder/better with digital connectivity for a few quid mare.

MA10's are £110 ($220 approx) and the MA20's around £250 ($300 approx).

This is what I use. Only small "micro monitors" but for ma desktop, space I have - they are fine.
