Jul 01, 2004 06:08 pm if you gave either of them apps to a good enough engineer, yeah, easily.
its about the skill as much as anything
i prefer cubase myself...

Jul 01, 2004 11:35 pm Solid arguement, OK.
Both of those applications are developed to specifications beyond your ears ability to dicern. Both applications process sound beyond the capability of a CD to capture in burning. Sufice to say results can be achieved with them second to none.
Now to second Flame; that's the tip of the iceburg. Taking the time and effort to become an engineer is the challange.

Jul 02, 2004 02:08 am Well, it depends on what type of music you are making. Using only Reason, I don't think you would be able to make a pro level rock song. But you could definitely make a pro level hip hop or electronica track. Reason has lots of good sounds packaged with it, and some mediocre sounds. Cubase is basically a pro level app, so you can definitely make quality recordings on it. But like the posts above me stated, you need to put in work to understand the nuances of how to make a pro sounding track.
