Hey dear all! I am a new member here. well I got a new mixer and mic last week and I know thats a stupid question but when I red the manual it really confused me!
have a look at this pic:
service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear
my mixer is almost the same. The thing is I don't know which out put I should use to record stuff on my computer! Is it MAIN OUT PUT or TAPE INPUT & OUTPUT???

Either one would work fine. If you don't have a tape deck you will be using the tape out for, you can run that to your PC and the mains to your amp/speakers. That way you will have separate level controls for whats going to your PC and whats going to your speakers...

Jun 28, 2004 06:57 am Thanks DB. the other question is I have only one cable that connect the tape out to the input of my sound card! it seems the mixer doesnt work if i don't connent the output of the card to the tape input! is that right? should i buy one more cable ???
Jun 28, 2004 07:08 am you shouldn't need both to record. However, if you do want to hook up your outs on the card, to send back through the speakers, that would be a good way to do it...

Well, while not sure of the exact mixer you have, one thing I can say is make sure, if there is a button that says something like "send main signal to tape outs", make sure it is pressed down.
