How do I get Godsmack Guitar sound?

I need some help with getting a "Godsmack" type guitar sound. I know that they use a Mesa Retifier, but I was wondering about what kind of mics to use to get this sound and boosts on the EQ? If ayone has some good ideas, let me know...Thanks

Shure SM57 and a Sennheiser 421, and then the signal passed through John Hardy M1 preamps and a Manley Massive Passive EQ.

The fat one always watches us.
