im starting my own company selling home recording equipment. i want to know if you guys can help me find out how to become a dealer for different manufactures of rec. equip.

Oct 08, 2002 10:47 pm Don't forget to get your DBA, Federal and state tax Id and maybe even a quick S-corp filing $60.00 if you are in the US. The dealer will want that up front. Have credit references ready and watch the fine print! Don't forget to ask about restocking fees, restocking options, min purchase qty. etc.

Oct 09, 2002 04:50 am Good Point Walt, selling gear also means returning gear, supporting that gear, dealing with clients that are angry, etc.
I thought about doing this type of thing with computers and computer parts a few years back but thought better of it when I thought about all the baggage that goes along with it...
