PreSonus COMP16 vs ART TubePAC

Quick question:

I am trying to get the sweetest vocal recording possible. I am using a RODE NT1 with a MAudio AudioBuddy Dual Microphone Preamp going into my soundcard. Which setup should I go with:

a) my current MAudio preamp + $99 for a PreSonus COMP16 or

b) get rid of the MAudio preamp and spend $199 on an ART TubePAC preamp and compressor

Sweetest sounding vocal is going to be different for me, than it is for you, but I have to say, people in the pro community do not like them MAudio preamps very much (I'm not too hot on them either).

The pros have this nasty habbit of spending tons of dough on pre-amps (thousands), but you don't have to if you like the sound you get from a cheaper one.

Head down to the shop and ask if you can try a few different pres out, your ears never lie.
