It seems that whenever i record my amp or from my POD 2.0 my sound is so quiet and thin. I am hoping to get a nice computer and soundcard soon, but for nor all i can do is run my POD strait to the comp. or mic my amp into my mixer and run that into the computer. If anyone has suggestions for more volume it would greatly help.

Apr 21, 2004 08:22 pm are you running the pod through the mixer for the preamps? i think you still need some sort of a preamp when using a pod, though im not sure

Apr 21, 2004 10:46 pm Your probably on top of it per you mention of a sound card. Standard sound cards barely record voice with any accuracy. Quality analog to digital conversion is quintessential. Most folks use a mixer between the DI (pod) and the computer. The preamps in the mixer help derive the proper input volume and give you a way to listen to the signal before it hits the computer.
