Alright, after I got the newest drivers working I am getting some pretty bad latency in sonar when recording audio, haven't played with the midi yet, although I don't see it being any different since I didn't update the drivers to my midi card. Anyway, another thing that has changed in my setup is the addition of the patchbay, so the question is how can I reduce the latency? I am using the ASIO drivers and have played with buffers and stuff, but I can't get the latency to be satisfactionary. thanks

Apr 14, 2004 09:07 pm That cant possibly be right. Even on my old AMD 450 I could get down to 18ms running WDM drivers. And I even get 8ms on my old PIII 667 running ASIO.
Loki, is it possible for you to save screen shots of all the info under the differant tabs in the audio settings screens? I can take a look at your settings and see if it gives me a clue as to what is going on.

May 04, 2004 01:22 pm i used sonar for a while and when I first started it had serious latency problems too. what i did was: i disabled the moniter output (something like that, long time ago) in the audio options and the latency problem was solved...
