Over the weekend HRC is starting a full review of this very software. So stay tuned, within a week or two (hopefully) you will see the review.

A full review of the brand new Cakewalk GuitarTracks Pro 3 is also scheduled.

And keep your eye on Mackie/Tapco as they have re-born the Tapco name to enter the mid level market with some new gear. Greg is making an effort to compete with several other manufacturer's who have grabbed a big juck of the market.

Can't wait for the review. For $80 if it's good software, I might be tempted to check it out. Too bad I couldn't find any demo version. If I overlooked something, someone please let me know.

yup, in a nutshell that the whole thing :-)

hehehe, I was hoping to have it out this week, but my Mackie contact is in Germany right now, so I don't know if he'll get a chance to look it over until he gets back...I don't like releasing reviews until the manufacturer has a chance to browse it and make sure I haven't made any erroneous comments or be able to rebut anything I might have to say.

But ya, all in all, it's a pretty unique and powerful app. Just works very different from most...kinda cool yet kinda frustrating for an old dude set in his ways like me...
