Hi everyone, I've taken a long break from conversing to immerse myself in constructing a new album called Infinity Ends Tomorrow. I have made all of the songs available online and I would love to have opinions from people who just enjoy the art of music. So please just listen and enjoy. www.duboismusic.com/Red_Box/media_type.htm

This is a huge step up from the other things of yours that I've listened to. Very creative, and I want to compare it to something like Joy Division or older Death Cab For Cutie.

The vocals are doing some pretty serious clipping on "Grandeur Metamorphosis" and they could probably use a little bit of reverb on the album as a whole (but just a tiny bit because they have a cool lo-fi vibe to them) so that they sit a little better in the mix.

You've obviously put a lot more effort into this than your previous works, and your efforts are paying off.

Its cool to hear someone that thinks in terms of an entire album...and that's one cool closing instrumental.

Tadpui...you have no idea how strongly your kind words have affected me. I swear you just made my day. So thank you very very much even for just listening. Anyone who can donate their time like that especially to listening to a lot of the music, is really wonderful. Thanks very much.

hey, I like the title of the album. I downloaded waking yukiko and I like it. It's really cool actually. So, I'm going to go ahead and download some more. Are there any songs you are particularly fond of that I should go to first. Since I'm on dialup, I prolly won't have time to download them all, but I'd like to hear the ones you're most proud of.

oh, and I forgot, the streaming option didn't work for me. I'm not entirely sure why.

I liked Withinside the best. Interesting song.

This stuff is just so freaking wierd that I can't help but commend it...

It might be worth doing some retracking on the vocals on some of these songs since they are what people pay the most attention to, and there are some pitch problems throughout...but, I like the concept of the songs a lot.

People tend to enjoy Endive Into Oblivion the most, but my personal favorite is SCM. I have begun to hate the acoustic first minute, I generally find if boring now however I break into a techno middle with sampled chanting monks, then a distorted rock outro. It seems to be the embodiment of what I stand for in music, consistent change and not trying to sound like the rest of the pack. But thanks again for listening

Welcome back-nice web site
Vanishing point- love the bass
it gets a little "messy" with the all the stuff going on in the chorus area, sounds like it was mixed by volume only. EQ i think needs adjustment to allow everything to be heard. love the slow part though. and the feed into the dance mix was cool, a suprise and cool .ill listen to more as time permits...
really good so far. (im about the least able to give real direction in recording on this site...)

Yeah, please feel free to critique the quality all you like, I won't take offense at all. I'm just happy that I can do it, [edited by flame], this is just the stuff I picked up myself, so I understand the art of recording could take my music to a whole new level. Being only 17 I am basing my priorities on the craft of songwriting and musicianship, still a primal newbie I hope to progress there as well. But I hope as far as the songs themselves go, I hope they are enjoyed.

I'm very sorry, I did not mean to lose your respect, As a 17 year old that works 30 hours a week plus school and has to pay $2700 a year plus rent to my family (which is all of it) things are very tight right now. When I have the resources in a few years I want Logic. But anyway I am aware that this is no excuse and I am sorry, the desire for me to express my art is just a bit too strong at times.

i understand, but we dont want db getting sued by anyone, or getting shut down.

officially, HRC DOES NOT promote the use of pirated software or any other illegal activity.

that stuff does go on, we cant stop that, but we're not gonna get involved in it. leave that to the lesser forums.

sermon over!
